They can see the whole film. You can see your part of it. That asymmetry is the job.

You are allowed to ask one clarifying question and then commit. What you are not allowed to do is do it your way and hope nobody notices.

The times they are wrong, doing it their way costs you nothing, because they will cut around it. The times they are right, arguing costs you the room.
