Depends entirely on your type, your market and your credits. For a newer actor in a mid-size market, four in eight months is quiet but not alarming.

Ask, and ask well. "What are you seeing for me, and what would make it easier to get me out?" is a fair question that does not read as an accusation.

The question behind your question is usually "are they thinking about me at all", and the honest answer is that a busy agent is thinking about their top ten clients. Getting into that ten is the actual game.

Give them something to work with. New footage, a class with someone they respect, a booking you got yourself. Agents push people who have momentum.

Four in eight months would worry me if the breakdowns you are clearly right for are going out and you are not on them. That is worth a direct conversation.
