Being scouted at a screening is completely legitimate. That is where scouting happens. The red flags are money and pressure, not who reached out.

Check them out properly. Who is on the roster, what have those people done in the last two years, are they licensed where they operate.

If at any point there is a fee, a mandatory photographer, or a required class, it is not an agency.
