How does anyone do taxes with this many small payments?

Nine different payers last year, three of which sent nothing, plus a survival job. I do not know where to start.

    Get an accountant who does performers specifically. It costs a few hundred and it will save you more than that the first year.

    Separate bank account for acting income and acting expenses, starting today. That one change makes the whole thing tractable.

    You owe on income whether or not somebody sent you a form. The forms are for them, not for you.

    Keep the receipts as you go. Reconstructing a year of expenses in April is how people end up not claiming things they were entitled to.

    Set aside a chunk of every payment the day it arrives. The quarterly bill is what catches people out, not the annual one.
