Nothing dramatic, but it was not in the breakdown and I was put on the spot in front of thirty people.

    You are allowed to say you need a minute. That sentence buys you everything and almost nobody uses it.

    Ask for the first AD or your agent before you agree to anything material that was not in the agreement. That is not being difficult, it is the process working.

    The being-put-on-the-spot-in-front-of-thirty-people part is the pressure, and experienced productions know it. That some of them use it deliberately is a real thing.

    Write down what happened the same day, plainly, while you remember it. Hopefully you never need it.

    For what it is worth, saying no on set has never cost me a job. Being unclear about whether it was a no has.
