Do not pad. Everybody in a position to hire you can tell, and getting caught is much worse than being new.

Most of those thirty line resumes are also padded. You are comparing your honest document to other people's decorated ones.

Format it so six credits look intentional rather than sparse. Wide spacing, clear sections, no giant white gap at the bottom.

Put special skills on there and make them true and specific. "Conversational Portuguese, competitive swimmer, can drive a stick shift" is more useful to casting than four invented credits.

I have hired off a four credit resume. I have never hired off a padded one, because I stopped trusting the whole document.
