    Ninety seconds to two minutes, best thing first, no montage, no music bed, no title card with your name and agency logo for eight seconds.

    Actually the more common failure now is length. I have seen four minute reels this year. Nobody watches four minutes.

    Individual scene clips separate from the reel matter more than they did. Casting increasingly wants to see one scene of you doing the thing, not a survey.

    Your face should be on screen within three seconds and you should be speaking within eight.

    If your best work is thirty seconds long, your reel is thirty seconds long. That is a strong reel, not a short one.
