    When to follow up?

Recently I went to an agent "class", a.k.a., pay-to-meet-and-greet, and had a wonderful session in the room. The warmest I've had in such meet-ups. The agent loved my monologue and gave me great feedback. We really hit it off and spent much of our remaining...

Can someone answer me this about actors?

    Real-Life Audition Observations

I just wanted to share my real-life observations from the waiting area of an audition I had this week where a fellow auditionee was not set up for success due to a lack of preparation and industry knowledge. For those who are new to the audition scene...

    Introversion in Acting

Has anyone else taken Actor’s Therapy?

If you’re looking to build a book, questioning what’s in your book, wondering if a song is good for you, if you want to workshop a song or a monologue for an audition, if you can’t choose between a song or a monologue for an audition, Actor’s Therapy is...

    What's your favorite acting podcast?

I have a real long commute, so listening to podcasts really help me survive the grind. I've heard of a few different acting podcasts, such as Inside Acting and Hollywood Close-Up but I'm curious to see what else is out there, and what listeners find helpful...

    Tips on starting

Hello! I’ve wanted to be an actor for quite a long time, but I don’t really have any experience in the field. I decided that I want to pursue my dream. I was looking at universities and saw that they require auditions for admittance should I take classes...

    Getting a Reel?

I notice that a lot of jobs posted require one to post a reel. Aside from commissioning a studio to make one for you (Which is a bit out of my budget at the moment). How would one recommend getting a reel going?

    I'm confused :(

So on one of the audition postings it says that auditions will be by submissions only, what does that mean?? Do I have to be at that audition or do I send in a video? All help is appreciated, thank you!
