Default does age mean anything?

hello all. im thinking of getting into acting, however i am currently 32, 33 next week. i was wondering if my age would be a problem as far as getting into acting and / or acting schools? ill be out of the country for about 3 years to reach the money needed to start this adventure. so i am really looking at me being 36 / 37. i know i should have started when i was a featus but i am a late bloomer. lol. i pretty much want to know if ill be wasting my time trying to obtain something thats so far away right now? im guessing there isint an online acting course i cant take, or am i wrong? if there is one i would be able to start this training sometime next week. someone PLEASE respond.

thank you all.

The online course I don't know... I'd take local classes and then audition for community theaters. And keep auditioning, and then some more.

If you look at the thousands of cable shows, movies, television shows, independent films you can easily see how you can start an acting career at any age. Once you have the talent to act the next questions is how do you market yourself. This is the area that separates the successful actors from the unsuccessful ones.

This is a common miss conception that seems to affect many actors today... You could be 67 and still be able to act. Yes you will get type casted often as older parts, but that doesn't matter because it won't effect how you are perceived from the audience, the audience will always look at your performance and not age. Also just because you want to go into acting doesn't require you take "training" or "tests". However, getting in to stage schools and theatre companies is the best way of getting in to stage and build up your acting ability... Then when you feel confident enough on your own skill go for small/ big auditions. Don't automatically go straight for big auditions because you will learn through stage school's the process of auditioning and when you don't get the part you would like how to deal with that. If you just automatically go for big auditions because in some cases you may feel so disheartned that you will think acting isn't for you and that judgement in anyone's case is incorrect as its your first audition.
