The first public opera house was opened in Venice in 1637...

The pacing in soaps in extremely fast. Actors can get their dialogue moments before they have to shoot them. I believe they work off of teleprompters/ cue cards too, but I'm not 100% sure. Movie acting you can spend all day working on one scene. Many takes, sometimes. Tons of waiting around.

Do you remeber playing house when you were a little kid? Thats what soap acting is. Their not little kids. They have the intelligence of adults. But thats it. They really ham it up. Some of them are quite good. p.s. A tip for all actors. Most acting teachers couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. They have a head packed full of knowledge, or their very knowledgable, but you can get the same knowledge from acting books. Thats how they make their money. Becareful who you choose to teach you so called ,acting. Its not as hard as you might think to get in to the top 2 percent that become stars or actors, actors that become bigger than life on the silver screen.
