Default How to Cry on Cue

I found a good article about crying on cue. Informative and true.

Just wanted to post it for discussion.

Have a great day!

Neat article!

I'm a firm believer that tears are NEVER an actual necessity, so long as the actor has a very truthful emotional life going on. Just because an actor has a tear streaming down their face, doesn't mean they are full of emotion. It could just be that they know how to trigger tears: big deal. But if the emotional life of the scene is being honored, then I, the audience, am much more likely to be moved by it - tears or no tears.

Nice article, but I saw no tips on how to, just to do. Hehe a RHYME. Anyways, crying on cue is easy when you're alone and listening to sad music and you're in a crappy mood, but can be next to impossible when you're under pressure, surrounded by awaiting actors and directors.

Hope this helped!

Mine is the second article (was first for several weeks) in that Helium category and can also be found in the Green room section of my website Dramorama.com I think it offers more practical advice, hope that helps!

Crying really should help the ACTOR believe what he or she is doing!
