BIGGEST thing I know of in getting into character.. is "Mind Switches"...

To relate this item I must tell a little story of something that happened to me...
It all started with an outing with my "buddy", down by the river... I didn't know it, but he was trying to kill me by setting me up in dangerous accidents... He later went on to murdering prostitutes in Toronto... He had this little game set up, which resulted in me falling 22-feet and connecting the ground on my spine, on a large pointy boulder... The second I hit the rock, I felt and heard many crackles in my back.. then out I went... When I came to, I couldn't move from the navel down... I seemed to be totally paralyzed... I tried to roll over to my side, but my lower half just remained on its back.. then a huge, Extremely painful snap happened in my spine, and I saw mental fireworks...

To ease the extreme pain, like it was a fire in my back, I struggled to roll back onto the rock.. is when a second snap happened, and again I saw fireworks upon fireworks.. and my breath eased out like a deadman's last breath.. and there weren't anymore breaths... my diaphragm was off line... I managed to catch tiny breaths by flexing my shoulders to the limit, till the shoulder muscles overheated and seized up... I managed to do the required mind to restore my severed spinal cord.. and the feelings slowly returned to my legs.. starting as tickles in my heals... I managed to get standing with the aid of a stick and a tree.. but fell flat on my face when I tried to take a step... I got back up, and gingerly pushed a small stick up the back of my shirt to check for bleeding where it hurt so very much... The second the stick touched my spine there, I sustained an EXTREME jolt of pain that there are no words for... Probably getting hit by lightning would have been a tickle compared to that... Years later I felt a lightning bolt go-by horizontal ten feet off the ground, from six feet away.. It was only a barrage of tickles... This pain was different, and powerful as pain can be... I woke sitting on my ankles, with my arms tucked under my legs, and my forehead on the ground in the snow and mud... I must have curled into a ball while standing... I managed to teach my legs in what I wanted them to do in making a step.. and barely managed to crawl up the hill to the railway bridge, and crawled across it between trains... and somehow managed to walk the five miles home... At home I tripped on the curb, and down I went... Got into the house.. barely managed to negotiate the stairs.. and found the least painful position to lay in, and locked it there, and fell asleep...
Next morning I woke to find I had slept 45-hours straight...

I went to the window, and a bird flew by... I saw a six foot vapor trail behind the bird... and saw something really strange in the tree... I went outside to the tree... It had a thirty foot diameter aura made of four colored layers... and three twin ended flames, which would vanish, and reappear in a different location in the tree aura stuff... And there were three little balls of what looked like sunlight, four inches in diameter... They seemed to be playing tag with each other... I smiled at one, and held out my hand.. and it flew right through me in a flash...

I figured I couldn't be seeing this much, and do my high school stuff, so I stood inside at the window, looking at the tree's aura.. and closed my eyes, and tried to shut it down, and failed three times... On the fourth attempt I managed to dull the aura seeing by 50%, by pulling down a control in my mind... And on the fifth attempt, the aura seeing was gone, and things were back to normal...

Thing is.. we have mind switches, that work somehow to turn things and abilities off and on... How do you find them? I don't know..? I can't turn aura seeing on again... I wish I could... I have tried and tried... This item deserves more research... Anything anyone has that could shed some light on this would be helpful... Anyone got any ideas?.. I really really want to bring this aura seeing back... You could use it to become an ultra great actor, if we could develop it into a teachable formula...

Has anybody seen those twin ended flames, and those four inch yellow glow balls?.. I saw one of them in a forest, following a bumblebee around... I smiled and bowed, and it enveloped my fingertips for 14 seconds.. and I lost my sentience for an hour or two... I still don't have a clue what they are..?
Any silly speculation would be nice...
