It may only seem that way...
Jim Carrey seemes to be the same character in every movie he does. You Know like a Whaky guy. But In EternalSunshine Of The Spotless mind He was Great, and he didnit play the role like some goofball, he was serious.

Hey Mark, could you message me some tricks of the trade too?
Charactor acting is best in my opinion that way you don't get bored of the roles you do. although its acting either way, and who could ever get bored of acting?!
i am also on nextcat.com
my link is www.nextcat.com/cloe

btw guys, Johnny Depp is like the best actor of the century! and Evan, he played a kinda serious role in the truman show too, but i think he'll always be seen as the goofy character!

Hi Cloe i just recieved your message. You need to read my other threads so I don't rehash anything. I guess they are hard to comprehend. I know alot more and I will try to simplify things for you. This is acting knowledge you won't get from any acting teacher. But remember I can really do what I said. Most acting teachers can't. Why should you listen me. Its like this, if you want to become a millionair. you don't go to learn from someone who says he can teach you how, and the guy himself lives out in a trailer in the middle of a desert. You go to someone who has a million dollars in his bank account and lives in a mansion. You go to someone who has actually done it themselves. Secets of an underground actor. Sincerly, Mark27

I am personaly into stage acting and have no desier to be on film. Other than that, I take what I am given as a part and there we go. I think the best thing for me to do is to be myself when I need to be, and my charactor when I'm on stage ^_^

but, I am only a highschool actress, so...

The best you could ever hope to be emulating other actors is a really great copy! They are what they are for their originality. Start acting and find out what kind of actor you are! For some great tips try dramorama.com especially the Green Room page! Actors act! It's what makes us actors. I think may people waste a lot of time trying to devide how they want to come across or worry about aht kind of career thay will have before they have any, just get started! Michael Cain's book "Acting for The Camera" is excellent in it he says he once told a young would be actor that if he could imagine himself doing anything else, he should go do it!
