Hello, my name is Emily and I am 14 years old. I am auditioning for a role in High School Musical in a really good theatre. I am kind-of knew to acting but have been in my chior for five years and singing in other chiors since I was 5 years old. I need to sing a song and give a monolouge and I have no idea what to use. If you have any suggestions, please help me! I would be very appreciative of your help  . | ||

Hi Emily....check out your local library for books on monoloques. If you can't find anything there go the google.com and do a search for monoloques and see what pops up. If nothing strikes out at you I'll be glad to work up something for you. Just give a topic that comes close to the musical your auditioning for. Best of luck. | ||

there are quite a few monologue databases out there on the net. Do you know how long the monologue has to be? There are sites which give an estimate of how long they are. As regards to a song just pick something easy and classic that most people would know. Preferably something that brings you slightly to an emotional state. | ||
