Hi. I am interested in working as an extra in NY. Are there any agencies that you recomend I sign up with? Any other general advice about becoming an extra would be appreciated. Thanks. | ||

there are agencies. extra work really is not in my opinion a good way to get into acting. It us a nice way to make some cash and hang around a shoot. Extra work doesn't really advance an acting career.

There are some success stories of extras turning into actors, but they are few and far between. This article gives you a good introduction to the business and links. Become a Supporting Artist hopes it's of use to you. t | ||
