eManStudios is casting a read though for the screenplay, Driving With The Top Down, a comedy about middle aged people trying to get a handle on life. Seeking-David Bestor, African-American, 40’s, intelligent, physically fit, naïve at times and completely lost when it comes to love and finding his path in life. Vicky Hoffert, Caucasian, 40’s, voluptuous, love’s sex but not so sure when it comes to love. Confident on the outside but secretly insecure about her weight and looks on the inside. Love’s to party and live life to the fullest. Big Man, African-American, 40’s to 50’s. Large, intimidating yet gentle and lovable. Not dumb but all four cylinders aren’t firing. Schneider, Caucasian, 40’s to 50’s. Low level mafioso wannabe. Spent time in the joint for petty crimes. Best friends with David and Big Man. Jolene Bestor, African American, 30’s to 40’s, David’s younger sister and the mother of Big Man’s son, Ray-Gunn. Hides behind her son whenever she has to deal with confrontation. John Bestor, African-American, 60’s to 70’s, David and Jolene’s father. Frail, cantankerous but clearly the head of the family.
Lea Doom, any ethnicity 20’s to early 30’s. The crazy actor from hell. Loony and mesmerizing all at the same time. Performs a manic version of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline.
Joshua Miles, Any ethnicity 40’s to 60’s, artsy host of an actor’s showcase. Has a extremely high opinion of himself and all the actors except David. Baby, any ethnicity, 30’s, good looking Hollywood player that knows how to push the right buttons at the right time. Entre, 20’s any ethnicity alt-model type. Has his own unique take of spoken word.
