Default make-up

I have an audition on Tuesday and I'm looking for a long lasting foundation for the audition. I figure this could be the place to start some recommendations for brands and such. If anyone is interested, makeupalley.com has reviews for thousands of products ranging from make-up to skin care supplies. It's a fantastic place. I realize everyone's skin is different so feel free to post your recs.

go for (foundation wise)
-Revlon
-Loreal
-Clinique
-Almay (I've heard that their brands are the most hypo-allergenic.)

middle of the road
-Cover girl
Beware of the Outlast 2 step foundation. My skin had an allergic reaction to it and my face now looks sunburned.
-Rimmel
The blush, gloss and eyeshadows are good, but the foundation is iffy.

stay away from
-Wet and Wild
The products are so cheap that it makes you wonder. If you're paying $1 for eyeliner, be a bit wary.

I'll come up with more stuff later.

I'll add to this post later..

I'd suggest using a liquid foundation..I find it lasts longer in liquid form and is harder to rub off. You can use regular face make up remover to take it off.

Well actually, when you're getting make up in a store (and they're testing it on your face), a lot of the time you wont get the proper color. The lighting inside is darker than outside; and outside there's generally more contrast (lighting wise)...So if you get something too dark, the blending (or lack of) will show outside..where as a tint lighter than your actual skin color can blend in both settings.

But if you're planning on only being seen inside, go with a shade darker.

I have a faint tan, so I use Ivory (I forget the brand name), it's a tad lighter than my skin and works perfectly.

Lmao.

I always go straight for Wet and Wild when it comes to eyeliner.

But I don't wear much makeup so I wouldnt know.

Just eyeliner and lip gloss.

I use neutrogena foundation because, well... that's the brand that has the color that closely matches my skintone. I think it's mostly important to have a good foundation and good powder... everything else you can buy cheaply. (haha, I use cheap-o dollar eyeliner)... well, and I buy maybelline "blackest black" mascara.

what mascara have you found to be the best for lifting and seperating your lashes? because I see all those ads and comemrcials and I'm not too convinced that the mascara will really do that.

I havent found a perticular brand, but you can pretty much get the desired effect with practice..as long as you dont buy dollar store mascara it should work out
