just in the process of putting my showreel together and burning the DVD

but....

do i simply just put the movie clip on the disc so its a simple "PLAY"


or have a menu with my face and contact details on the menu and an extra tab that takes you to a gallery of headshots.


i dunno wether to keep it simple or not. any advice?

its basically a demo of your acting abilities that you send out to agents and casting directors etc

Oh i see .. Taped Monologues .. Rehearsals .. and so on .. never thought about it, but i should record such a tape too ..

well im not putting bits from EVERYTHING i have done, just some scenes from my two best films. its about 2 minutes in total (which ive been told is the average time)

i just dont know how simple or detailed to have the dvd

i would just keep it simple.remember its your acting people are looking for not the technology on the dvd.what scenes are you doing?. i still haven't done mine. did you get it dony professionally?

the first part is from a film i did . im being chased down a corridor by governemnt agents and i run down some stairs

then a piece from a drama i was in. i chose part when im asking if anyone saw my mate fighting the night before. (there was an intro to this scene where i turn in for work hung over, but i wanst impressed with my performance that much)


then it cuts to a moody scene from the first film again, where im talking to my psychologist and i get frustrated cos i cant remember a dream and i walk to the window, she offers me support and we hug.


then cuts to a drama where we are all agreeing to stand together (a bit three musketeers-ish)


then a romance scene where i kiss a woman, quite passionatly.
but as we kiss i push her away and say "no"


thats it


2 minutes (ish)

i didnt chose my longest scenes, or my scenes with the best coverage, just the scenes i thought i acted best in.

there was one scene id have loved to include. its from my first film where i get shot and die, im shouting for help and fall to the floor with my blood pourring into the snow. great scene. great. but the producer is playing funny b*tches with me and wont send me the footage. ive been asking for months and months.

is it possible to just do a scene out of a movie you've seen?? if so what would you have done??

i suppose you could do whatever you want. a lot of actors shoot scenes just specially for their showreels
