I was wondering. do you think it's possible to be a great actress & a singer at the same time. And which female actress/singer do you think has the best acting AND singing talent? I started thinking about this after I found out that Jennifer Landon (daughter of Michael Landon of 'Highway to Heaven', 'Little House on the Prairie', & 'Bonanza' fame) who followed her dad's acting career and really did well in the daytime soap AWS (As the World Turns) went on to launch a singing career. I believe she only has 1 song out right now, called Slide, but it's really good. You can check it on iTunes if you like. Any thoughts?" | ||

Jennifer Lopez Barbara Streisand Jessica Simpson Will Smith L.L. Cool J Mark Wahlberg (was a singer) Not all are GREAT actors, but it can be done. | ||

jennifer lopez is a good actor/singer... and i liked mandy moore in a walk to remember... incredible performance.... SWK78

Well there is Uma Thurman, Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane and Will Ferrell, in 'The Producers' (not out yet). Also Nicole Kidman in 'Moulin Rouge', Rene Zellweger in 'Chicago'. There are quite a few actors who get to showcase they're singing talent. I think it's good to work on your singing abilities, you can offer more as an entertainer. Unless you were referring to people who have their own cd's out. Then I would say Lindsay Lohan(album-speak), Hilary Duff(album-metamorphasis), Beyonce(movie-dream girls). Yes, it's possible. After seeing the list of people named as best actress/singer I think that naming someone great depends on personal opinion. I also think that naming someone great in both categories can be done. If you have the talent and passion, then go for it. | ||
