i play guitar and have never had a lesson - try to learn how to use tablature. if you have rhythm u can play guitar. www.ultimate-guitar.com has some good stuff and will teach you how to read tab - its very easy - all you have to do is understand your fretboard

You could buy a book.I've learned most of what I know of guitar from books....especially ones with cds included.
