Ok, so I've been acting in small theaters a lot for which auditioning basically consists of performing a monologue, singing a selection, and telling your experience, improv, and call backs but not more. I've done a lot of classes, and though I don't mean to sound proud, I've gotten pretty good. This spring I'll be auditioning at a local theater that is more "uppity" and asks for an acting resume, and while I've done regular resumes, and I have an idea of what they're looking for, I'd love it if you could explain exactly what an acting resume looks like, and tips on how to make it excellent. Also what have most of you done for your headshots? Sadly all of the professional pictures I've had done include the seeying eye dog puppy I raised last year, and I don't think they're looking for how cute of a dog I have.  I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future, since I'm starting to branch out and work with theaters I'm NOT familiar with, but this is the 1st question for now....  | ||

Well the best I can tell you is to go to http://www.playersdirectory.com/actor.cfm (it's the Academy Players directory) and then in the lower left side, you can click on the "Preview Players directory Online Listing). It will show you a professional woman's headshot with her resume. You can also check out my website: www.russjones.net (it's got my headshots and resume, and they've served me pretty well) Hope that helps. | ||
