hey everyone, well i m of an indian descent but am from nepal. i would like to pursue a career in films and a lil bit of theatre in hollywood. well i am pretty white compared to general indians so i think i would stand alightly less chance to get stereotype roles incase i get any so yea thats me i thought i get the indian bit abouit me clear. | ||

hello and welcome, and fear not, if you were to be cast as the steretypical indian in a film, there are lighting techniques and an assortment of things to darken your skin. For instance, dunno if you've watched StarWars II or III but the character Anakin was a dark-skinned guy, living on a desert planet of Tatooine. The actor Hayden, was Canadian, and well, PALE skinned. So they gave him a tan! Hey this is show biz! Anythings possible. Never Fret! SWK78

Thankx for the reply there, actually you are definately right about he possibilities in this glamour world, but, i dont even look like a complete indian i am whiter than almost a lot of indians so i think i would have an edge of not being completely stereotyped. but you since i am after all an indian and not very vrey white like most americans you can say my skin color would be something like that of adriean brody or you know someone who is a lil wheatish white i will try and post a pic when i get one. but being an indian eventually makes me have that insecurity lol. and there are other problems like getting aworking visa or citizenship or whatever that would in the frist place allow me to go for auditions. anyways thankx for the post do reply again. let me know ifd you have a messenger address. | ||
