Hello everyone!

My name is Nanda, I am 19 years of age and I live in The Netherlands.

Ever since I was little I've enjoyed acting, I mainly attempted to play scenes from my favourite TV shows and movies. I didn't get far though, as I only got to practice in front of a mirror (you know, that's what little kids do... at least I did).

I haven't got much experience, apart from my school's musical and some little acting thing I went to when I was about four or five years old. I also got the chance to play in a commercial when I was little (about six years old, if I remember correctly), but one day when the woman who asked me to play in the commercial came to visit my house, I got the flu so we couldn't really practice on that (one!) day, so she left and I'd never heard anything from her again. And so I continued to practice monologues and such in front of the mirror.

When I was about 13 years old I attended the Youth Theatre in my city, but I was forced to quit after a few months due to personal problems.

In the years after that I've always felt the urge to start acting for real, but I didn't really get the chance to do so.

I found it to be very difficult to find good acting/theatre schools or groups near my home. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack and the (professional) schools I did find are really expensive (they charge around 50 euros for an AUDITION and the training itself costs around 3000-5000 euros). After searching the internet for a while I found this really interesting place that offers acting classes for not too much money and they're recommended by one of the biggest casting agencies in my country, so I'm probably going to take a (few?) course(s) there, which starts in September or October of this year. I am really excited about that.

Anyway, although I do not have much experience, acting's really all I ever wanted to do and I'm working on getting more experience.

I'm new around these forums and it seems like a nice place to "hang around" with others who are interested in acting as well. I'm glad I found this website, and I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all!
