| Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | In your opinion, what do you think was the most powerful scene in a film, the one that you will remember most as being either very dramatic, very sad, very touching or just your favorate scene from all the films you know.
In my opinion i would have the say the very last scene in the last episode of band of brothers, where Major Winters is going through what everyone did in the later life, and then the real guys start talking, i just think thats very touching.
So what do you people think? |

| Re: Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | I'm going to have to go with a scene from Scarface, when Tony Montana was being attacked, and was invincable from his constant snorting of pounds of coke, I was never more intrigued by a movie at any point in time when he busted down the door, being shot and mutilized, yelling "say 'ello to my little freind", just absolutley incredible |

| Re: Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | has anyone here seen SAW? There's 2 scenes.
The one where the guy comes in on the little bike and the girl with that hat thing on is in the same scene.
also the end one where he cuts his foot off. that was horrible.
you can just see what some people will do for entertainment. its sick!!

| Re: Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | I still cannot get the scene from Gone With The Wind out of my head when Scarlett is in the field where her family's farm was and she said- "As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill. As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again."
Poweful statement |

1) Sophies Choice, when Meryl Streep had to pick which one of her children they were going to take from her, and
2) Forrest Gump, when he's talking to Jenny's grave. |

| Re: Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | I totally agree with the Gone With the Wind quote... I loved every minute of that VERY long film... A classic to be remembered. I loved Scarlett's commitment to her home.
Also, i will never forget how powerful this scene was to me:
In Moulin Rouge, a musical with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman... I loved the scene where she is dying in his arms ----- No this doesnt spoil the movie if you read this and have not watched it, it is said in the very beginning that she dies ----- A powerful scene for those two... And even more powerful since you know it is coming... that you know the relationship will end tragically. Reminded me of the many Greek plays that I've read or heard about. Tragic... I love the tragic tales.. powerful, simply powerful....

| Re: Most 'powerful' scene in a movie. | | A very powerful scene that I remember was from The French Connection 2 Where Gene Hackman is recovering from a drug addiction. He did a very good job with that, I'd say one of the most powerful scenes I've seen.
