I just watched it on cable.. and... the ending is soooooooo stupid..

Okay, he was death, the girl seen him walk down the bridge with her father, and then only Brad Pitt walks back up, and shes talking to him like its nothing. Movies need to have more of a realism to it.. Even if she knew he was death when she was in love with him she should have reacted more heart broken that her father is gone, instead of walking down the hill with her "lover" like everything is ok looking at fireworks..

I think the writing at the end was just dumb, and even though everyone thought he was going to let the father live, it should have ended better than that.

I've seen it and found it rather a strange film to watch Brad Pitt was very weired as Death.
I too was stunned by the end of the film it was very silly, your never going to see your dad again because your boyfriend took him away yet its ok because boyfriend has returned. She looked so very upset didn't she? NOT!

Anthony Hopkins was good it it yet I always think he good as he has such a lovely voice I was hoping he would have lived.

I only saw the first few minutes of the movie..sounds like a dumb ending though.
