John Rutter 42, a photographer accused of forging the signature of actress Cameron Diaz to try to sell topless photos of her has been convicted in the US, a Los Angeles court found Rutter guilty of attempted grand theft, forgery and perjury he could face jail time of up to six years.

In 2003 Rutter contacted Diaz offering her the chance to buy the photo's of herself taken when she was an unknown model 11years previously, the photographer wanted $3.5m (£2m) for the photo's or he would sell the photo's worldwide he also presented her with a forged model release form.

Rutter was arrested after Diaz contacted the police he denied he had forged her signature on the release form but admitted that the signature wasn't real.
A permanent injunction has been issued prohibiting Rutter from distributing the picture meanwhile he has been taken into custody until he recieves his sentence on 15 September.

It is nice to hear that those who are successful can get justice when those that are jealous and underhanded try to cause them such problems.

Im impressed by the the US Court system in this case which makes a pleasant change.

Cameron Diaz deserved to win this one without a doubt!

Yeh she did deserve to win but then it would seem she always does, she has a good lawyer.
I'm not a huge fan of her she can only do comedy really and she plays the same roles every time, does anyone here like her or anyone feel the same as me?

ya publicity and media are leading to many problems such as this these days
