When actors create a profile to showcase themselves, nomally there is a section for other skills and talents. I'm curious about the talents of the posters here. Also, what skills would you like to learn? I was told the more skills you have the better off you'll be, but I helped cast a movie which a friend of mine is filming this week and knowing how to drive a school bus is not that great of a talent. Offtopic: I hope this is in the right section. Here are some of my other skills... accents English Irish Russian technical - all courtesy of being a theatre geek lighting sound set design make-up (doing the make-up for a dinner theatre this weekend) directing (directed 2 plays so far, but I'll be doing films shortly) future skills - hopefully fencing archery costume design composer

Well I hadn't taken theatre seriously until this summer..it was just something I did for fun. So my short list of other skills lol: Accents British Southern Technical Lighting (minimal) Hair & make up Set design Wardrobe (not too good with customizing though) Other Judo (green belt) <--great skill for stunts Future Kung Fu (this year, hopefully) Fencing (in 2 weeks) Weaponry (probably this summer) | ||

accents English Irish southern dialects technical sound set construction / paint props costumes make-up other stage combat dance as for future skills... I'd like to better what I have already, learn more accents/dialects... fencing is neat, my boyfriend fences (haha, so unrelated), hmm. I want to take voice lessons, that's for sure. | ||

I don't think it's necessary to have them all be at expert level as long as you let them know ahead of time the level of each talent. You never know about the future skills thing. If it's not useful in film, you could use it a play sometime.
