Let's just say that acting doesn't quite work out for me (or someone else in my position). I am very athletic, and maybe one way to make a living in the industry is to be a stunt man. Is there a school, or training for stunt work?

I assume that any good school or trainer will give you some ideas on how to get a gig, but if not, how to you get in as a stunt person, since it's obviously not the same as a regular acting gig?

i dont know, thats a good question, try doing a google search, i dont know of any off of the top of my head.

Yes, there's lots of training involved in stunt work. From what I hear, you basically HAVE to have some kind of stunt training (for insurance purposes) unless you have a high connection.

I think you get training after you are choosen for a part, cause each stunt is gonna require specific training to complete. Theres no national stunt man academy

I think you'd have to have training before they just decide to pick you for a movie, ie. if you want to do driving stunts; you should have experience, they wont just let any random person drive like a nut for a few weeks before letting them on set.

stunts are better learnt on the sandy beach with just a stunt man who can teach rather than@ a school...
