My Indian housemate is putting on a tiny bit of extra weight lately... and it's making little rolls on her tummy... so I call her "Princess four tummies".. and suddenly she's exercising, and got only one tummy.. and I calling her "Princess floating feather"...
Two tummies is "Princess sinking buffalo"...

So what if you ain't Nepalese.. You are Closer to Nepalese than I am... Create a coating that says you Are Nepalese, and try to live their great spirits.. then, not even a nuke could stop your success...
Have you got the "sword"?.. yet...
You might need to do a soul to soul com, with someone who has the "sword", and knows how it works... The proverbial "sword" is your "warriorself"...
If you ever get the op to view Mr. Falini's last English interviews, Do It... It should be the first class of every cinema course...
Then in a month or two, you might verywell be a success in the entertainment industry, on your Own steam... absolutely depending upon how well your mentor knows the sword, and how much he isn't crazy for having mixed sillyness-manuscripting with reality...
Glad you enjoyed the humor... It was a fun post to write... Your trigger was excellent...
Learn how to regulate your triggers... is the biggest key to understanding how the sword works...

This next one might be a rollercoaster.. the likes of which could very well easily make you feel you were atop a mile high roller coaster, and just over the hump, and just this now easing into the start of that 200mph half-mile fall...
...which some people claim they get a "religious 'usperience" from it...
...Can you handle extreme heights without freakin'?.. Do you want to go for a "ride"..?
Seems that I'd need to write "Thee Actor's Attitude".. to Ram you into success.. IF'n it can be done with words.. If'n it can, I can do it...
Tell me.. How far above the ground is your head..?
How high above the ground are your peak thoughts..? |

How high above the ground are your peak thoughts..? | Hey mate,
How you doin? btw let me tell ya one thing that i might sound stern in this letter or angry for that matter but actually i m not lol so yeah i hope you keep that i mind.
Actually you know there is this whole big Bollywood over here, so if i wanted to play roles like say an indian or the kind of scripts that we have over here there was absolutely no reason i would come to Hollywood or better to say plan to. But you know my looks are slightly more western coz of the nepalese climate and the indian birth mixture i have grown up more in india but have lived in the cold nepal for quite a lognt ime as well so it is pretty much equal. The reson i want to come to hollywood is that the movie and the way the industry works of what i know very much appeals to me.( its not about the pay or that i m thinkign that it is easier there) i really am not undeer the impression that it is easy there but i do percieve that it would be a hard job with maybe some racial discrimination ( even though i look western i would still add that to my list of problems but i doubt it would happen). And now the reason why i feel that i should not as you say be closer to nepalese culture becasue again the hollywood does not have meaty roles for them becasue the people there dont want to see it and i think that i very well justified. And to be honest and not act patriotic when i m not, i am not naturally very indian or nepalese i am more western when it comes to choices the way of living etc. not that i dont know my culture and as i mentionde before i do respect my culture as well but you know i m not a person that would stick to my culture if i am not comfortable with something infact i woudlnt stick to any culture but respect all i owuld be the way i want and hence i have been like that and that represesnts more of the western culture coincidentally. lol. i think thats a pretty lengthy one with no fullstops, actually was in a hurry so i am not very grammatically correct (even though i want to be) anyways again thankx for that post and i expect mroe and btw why dont you also contact me on my email lohiaaditya@yahoo.com and let me know if you have a messenger it would ebe really ncie to talk with you |

| Re: hi, moving to LA soon, and need advice! | | That wasn't stern in the slightest... But Whoa girl!.. You got some nasty issues to solve before you touch American soil... You could get locked up here for some of that...
I'll show you a little gentle honest "stern"...
Here's a little list of things to work-on before you can even begin to consider becoming an actor... I hope you can handle this... It's for your good...
* Use Spellcheck before you post... Always edit your posts at least ten times before you post... You are posting for the world to see what you are all about... Don't post crap... Everything you post is in the world archives forever, or until the Internet dies... Your posted words are an integral part of your legacy... What would I feel about you if I read everyone of your posts, starting with the first one you posted on the Net..? What would you feel about you?..
* Change your "i" to "I".. change "indian" to "Indian".. show pride, not "genie in a bottle" waiting for some to release you... Spell Nepalese properly...
* You give me the sense that you would be coming to America wearing a t-shirt, sporting a burning American flag on one side, and an Indian guru on fire in the other side...
* Get off the "racial discrimination" crap!.. That rings of you carrying around a huge bag of "racial discrimination", ready to splash it it anyone's face who you feel might not take to you right off... You can't get anywhere with that attitude, not even waitress at a fast foods pita stand/juice bar... Work on that attitude, it's self destructive, and will make instant enemies everywhere you go...
* You are royalty, in part.. it's time to remove that angry little girl, totally defensive coating that you are hiding behind, and be the loving gentle strong woman, hiding just under the surface... You know what your are hiding and running from... Let it go! Shut it down!
To be an actor you need to be capable of instantly jumping to any and every character, whether you plan on playing it or not... In a seconds notice.. you need to be able to play a raw diamond, a stinky turd, a murderer, a newborn, a mummy, a dictator, a corpse, a cloud, a river, a storm, a bookshelf... you name it... Actor isn't a comicbook.. it's the world...
Put ALL your anger in your next post.. and edit it a minimum of twenty times...
For a good movie script it takes at least 110 edits, before the author has something to start with... You should put Life into your posts...
Then as you do your edits over the days, meticulously remove" the little girl stuff, the angers, the hate, the crap, the everything that makes you sound like you aren't a success in the entertainment industry... Play the part of success... not through your nose, but with your smile, your lips, your mouth, and everything that comes out of it.. filtered through a success lens...
If you post flame and crap, these will be the last words you read from me...
If you post too soon, I will know that you aren't serious, and that I'm just wasting my time on you... Consider this a hard kick to the bum.. and a gentle meaningful bonk on the head with a solid chunk of 2 by 4...
Strive to be better than Her Majesty Angelina Jolie...
Write all your thoughts Now, as they happen, not in full, just points to remind you of each thought, so you can write it all later... Write all the anger ones, all the sobby ones, all the thht ones, all of it in the order it bubbled forth...
And remember! It's for you, not me... You the one who is the actor.. not me...
And be the loving princess in everything you do...
Do you pull and push into a hug..? or is it like embracing wet pita?..
Does your kiss create life, or is it forever waiting to be fed life?..
When you step, does it create a dust and mites cloud storm..? or it is as soft as the Samurai's quiet peaceful step..?
Being your friend... Is it like caressing a raw cotton ball in the field..? or are you like squeezing that cotton ball in the hand..?
Why do I want to hire you to be the primary in my next movie?, which is gonna cost me, and a bunch of backstabbing alkie coke-head money fellers, a hundred million bucks to do..? Are you worth spending a hundred million dollars on?.. |

| Re: hi, moving to LA soon, and need advice! | | Well I think that you are a person to learn from. Before I start throwing words at you I've got a compliment for you. You've got amazing English skills. I hope to not annoy you with my post and expect that you don't consider this time helping me as wasted.
I realize that I have to work for my own good and nobody elses. I can handle every kick of yours and will try and learn from it, so if needed please do be critical and expose more weak points in me so that I recognize them. I appreciate your helping me because there are few who devote their time for someone else. So Thank You for that.
- Well I think I would go to America wearing a plain T-shirt and jeans. I am someone who lives by my own terms and not waste time on thinking or following a particular culture. I respect all cultures but embrace my own. I am being very honest. What I mean to say is that I live by my own terms so in this sense you could say that I "am NOT a cultural person". I do follow what I think I am most comfortable with. I would like to be more 'Royal' as you would put, which is something i definately lack.
- Regarding Racial discrimination, I would agree with what you said "You can't get anywhere". The knowledge about such a thing was stuffed into me by people elder to me here in India, so I didn't know what to think of U.S.A regarding this. I was told all the Racial stories what they had experienced so I thought I would find it out for myself how much truth all this rubbish carried. But I think have found out what the truth is, exagerration!! It all comes down to fighting for what you want to do and striving to be the best. If that is done then nothing can stop you from achieveing what you want to. I think Racism is an excuse that a loser gives in order to escape the harsh reality. But I would like to say that I was just posting about this topic so that I could find out what the fact was for myself.
- I'm ready to work in order to jump from a character to a completely different one. I'm willing to work hard for it. But for example the actor Kal Penn who is of an Indian descent, was scared of being stereotyped in the roles he got. To start with he was stereotyped but now he isn't, compared to what it was earlier in his career. What I meant was that if I be a complete Nepali or an Indian for that matter then I might as well be another person who is stereotyped. It is something that I don't want to be.
Well as you said take out all your anger in the next post and review it 20 times, well I have done that and believe me I have learnt something good by doing that. I don't have the flowery English like you have, so I tried to manage with the small pool of vocabulary that I have and am expanding every second.
To strive harder for success and everything that I want to be has been my atitude. I have always wanted to be better than Al Pacino. I've always wanted to NOT make excuses for failures, but as you know every human makes mistakes and learns from it and I, at 17, am still learning.
I would make sure the person who hires me for a project worth millions is not let down and would want to work with me once again. I would assure that person of the best quality and more. I would give that person every reason to hire me. Be it today or tommorrow, I would stretch my boundaries as far as I can to make sure I don't give anything below 100%.
I guess I have given a satisfactory reply if not the best. I also hope to hear from you again. |

| Re: hi, moving to LA soon, and need advice! | | HotDam!.. You learn FAST!... I do believe you are actor material...
Well done post too.. I'm impressed a lot...
...When you go to America, you are to be wearing your very best suit.. and your smile seems permanent.. not a t-shirt.. and for sure nothing indicative of anything Russian or Arabic... Embroider a tiny British or American flag on a pocket.. and carry a baseball cap.. with all the teams represented on it.. and when asked why, just say, "I like them all.. they are all god's winners".. When asked if you believe in god, say "As much as you do.. He made America, didn't he?"...
Americans are pretty much the only ones who fly other nation's flags, when they are in other nations.. Like in Canada, All the homes flying Canadian flags are Americans living in Canada.. most of them hiding, and from running from, American justice, and American injustice.. and from the growing crime waves...
Never carry more than 20-dollars, and anymore than a couple credit cards in a secret pocket.. and a couple shiny objects that seem valuable.. and when mugged, reluctantly give up your fake treasures, and beg that they don't take them... You've got a hundred more of the same at home... The mugger gets twenty bucks, and a few trinkets.. you are left undamaged.. The criminal feels they scored.. And just forget about calling the cops... What's done is done and gone.. forget about it... and don't be making waves in the storm, nor lighting fires in hell...
In topic "credit card".. Keep only One credit card, and NEVER fail a payment... Always have a secret stash worth at least two payments... Always make payments slightly over the requested amount...
Don't touch coke or meth.. that garbage literally melts your brain, as do cellphones bake your braincells, as do dirty smallpox vaccinations destroy the brain's file connections... and if you must toke THC, then do it in an extremely quiet private place, away from noses, cameras, and eyes... Never ever stray from this... And should a dog walk up to you, sniff you, and begin to sit, shout "HEAL!", and disappear as fast as you can...
Never leave a package unattended... and DO NOT stroll the docks alone, nor at night...
In America, you are to remain relaxed 24/7.. or you will miss noticing the key opportunities and the pitfalls, as they show... Like how yesterday I felt a bug crawling on the back of my leg, under my pants... I dropped my drawers, and gently whisked away the hornet.. and gently grabbed it by the wings on the window, and carefully gently tossed it outside...
I was relaxed, and "on the ball".. I sensed the tiny signal, the pitterpatter of little tiny feet, close together, hanging on tight, and right off knew what it was from how it walked, because I often let bees and wasps and hornets land on my hands, and rest here... I say to them, "you are welcome here.. you are welcome to rest here.. I will watch over you for your safety"... The bugs instantly trust me.. they rest their bellies on my skin, and their beaks on a hair, and go dormant, like they are asleep... and I do my work with a tiny venomous critter sleeping on my skin, till a gentle touch on its back wakes it... it stretches, and slowly wakes, and I say "It's time to leave my friend", and it flies away...
In dealing with the hornet in my pants.. in a five-second conscious alert manipulation, I saved from getting a real nasty jolt of high-potency venom injected into my blood and nerves... That was a really big hornet!... Lucky I hadn't sat on it.. ZOWIE!!!. It's powerful sting would have straightened every muscle in my body for a few seconds.. and for those few seconds I wouldn't have even known which planet I was on.. nor if it was a planet.. nor if I was me... Point is, when in America don't get stung...
___________________
America judges you exclusively by your outward appearance, and your textbook signals... Most Americans have taken some sort of basic psyche courses... Americans are generally specialists, who believe they know everything about everything...
Those who started the 13 colonies were ultra specialists... That's how it has been, and that's the American way... Show them that you are a specialist, like them.. but don't try to prove anything to them... It's a fine narrow tunnel.. that's America.. for the most part, "tunnel visioned"... and set firm solid in their postures and convictions... They can't handle anything new.. it makes them peak, freak, and run or fight... Learn the history and the politics of the American entertainment industry... Learn your applied restrictions.. and remain just a half a percent above 100%, but never let them know how you see things at that stance, just keep it a silent secret, even if you feel it clawing at you inside to get out... Be a percent less than everyone you meet.. they'll "love" you for it... Join the crowd, and never indicate that you are trying to seize the throne... They are all desperately searching for that throne, and none ever find it, cuz it doesn't exist.. but don't break their cherry, or all you will have on your hands, and in your face, is a nasty battle, with warriors oozing from the woodwork and from the rocks and caves.. with your destruction in mind and intent... Make one tiny mistake, and you are thus labeled by that mistake.. it becomes your middle name in America.. that's why there are so many failures in your industry...
In your corner of the world, you don't dare talk negative politics in public.. or your tongue might get cut out...
In America if you are a visitor talking negative politics, they will report you to the gestapo... If you were in a coffee shop in America, with buds, and in your conversation you mentioned the word "bomb" in the same paragraph as the word "airplane".. the next thing you would know, you are being grilled in some police station interrogation room, by a couple of wiseass young cops.. your whole life being spread out on a desktop, like it's common trash, while the computers run your name and pix in files all around the world...
Fit in when in America, or they will "grind you up in their great people meat grinder" faster than you can say, "I want my mummy"...
Same as "when in Rome, do as the Romans"... If you messed up, and are being interrogated, it's very likely they'll do their best to try to break your spirit then.. and if that happens, then you just might as well catch the next flight back home... There is no such thing as an actor without an intact functional spirit... So don't say "bomb airplane" when in America... and learn all the words that are taboo and "illegal" to speak in America... And if you don't believe me, then dress up with a turban, and stand on the whitehouse doorstep, and whisper "kill bush"... That's it, Game Over!... Suddenly you'll experience the bad-side of America... In ten minutes they can make you wish you had never heard of America.. and ten minutes more, they'll make you wish you had never been born.. and ten more minutes you'll wish they were all dead.. and in ten more you'll wish you were dead... and ten minutes more, there just aren't the words to describe it...
Learn a little about American politics.. and if you must talk politics, agree with everything 90%, question everything, and say nothing negative, nor new...
That pretty well covers your successful American citizenship...
It seems that you are truly worth the time...
So tell me in truth.. What all have you done so far to become an Actor..?
Who knows.. Your next post might just be the ticket that gets you into America, as a budding prospective actor... It's all up to you... copy, and paste, and read and edit this thread several times, while you create that post... We're done.
Who knows, maybe you are the next Abdula Eddie Murphy... |

| Re: hi, moving to LA soon, and need advice! | | Thankx for your compliment....well I don't think that I need to mention that I will be very honest in my post but I think I should mention it for the last time.
The advice, a wellwritten essay on how I should be in America should definately be helpful and I have learnt a bit from it.
I haven't done much to become an Actor yet....let me list a few things
The excuses-
- my city doesn't have much in acting (English theatre or Film) they have it in other languages like Hindi more.
- have gotten exams which has to be given the priority
The other reasons and what I've done-
- I've applied to a place that keeps me in touch with the theatre scenario and has committed me to get me in an acting group after my exams ( they are a non-profit organization so no risk)
- I've been doing a lot of Shakespeare reading and trying to act it on my own, also have been doing a good amount of cold reading
- I've got a habit of acting out the characters I like on television so I do that a lot.
- Have been searching about stuff regarding US and other opportunities that I might get, also the institutes like Lee Strasberg Institute.
- Expecting to get part in a play in January ( the Organizaion have told me so)
I think that is about it...these are the things I can list out with concrete proof of actually doing it in my mind....but there might be more or less which maybe I don't realize just now.
I got the acting bug about one and a half years back, and my poor performance in studies only gave it impetus. About three years ago I wanted to become a Cricketer ( Cricket being the sport) but due to a lot of reason most of my own fault I dropped the idea and as you see picked up acting and realized that this is exactly what I want to do for many reasons.....Now I know that I have to buck up my pace towards achieveing my goal which is to be one of the most appreciated actors in the Hollywood.
I think that I have answered the question you had asked me. Well I 'might' Eddie Murphy or whoever but first I need to do something before even dreaming of being anyone. And now I have started to look around for part in plays. Well over to you.....

| Re: hi, moving to LA soon, and need advice! | | Ouch!!!...
Re: your comment about exams... You best repair that serious damaged attitude right this very second now...
If you aim at exams.. that's as far as you'll get... And what you want is "Actorness", not a super successful exam doer, puppet...
The Actor is the puppeteer.. of the Actor... Imagine you have a hundred puppets in a box.. With one set of strings for them all, which instantly attaches, at whim, to any one of the 100 characters in the box.... and write a puppet-box thesis on that topic... and post it into the "puppet-box" forum in this forum... Make that thread Only for people's thesises... To respond, use sister threads, so as not vomrot the clean structure, emotion, and facets, and innocense, of the thesis thread... to make it a work of Art, and to maintain it so...
If you ponder exams.. that means you ain't ready... That's like wifey "making love" while wondering what she should make for breakfast... "thhTh!"..
Forget the exams... Let them happen as a surprise.. same as orgasm should be, to be of any value... Initiate your sexuality.. and initiate the ceiling of your goal... then punch a little hole through that ceiling.. and leave it alone immediately and NOW!, to be visited another day... Mess with it now, would be like sledgehammering a perfect blood-red h-28 ten carot diamond... which would be ok, if you needed some prime grinding powder...
So.. tell me.. What's your plan of action to become the world's greatest Actor..?
