I am wondering how different types of acting schools compare.
For example, doing theater in a community college vs. acting classes at a acting school vs. a major university vs. any other types of schools available.
Also, is theater a good way to start your acting training?

No amount of "training" will make your own acting ability any better, what It will do is build your confidence and through that confidence show your acting ability. Theatre is a good start. Don't automatically think that because someone acts in a major uni that there better than someone in a community college thats total bull and that sort of attitude of people is quite frankly stupid. What you will find is that there may be a lot more skilled actors in a major uni than there is a community college or a stage school because Stage Schools are bussniess and therefore don't always cream off the less skilled actors. So all the comparison is that they may be more skilled actors in a more professional university that you have to audition for than there is in a stage school but remember that just because your in a major university it does not mean you are more skilled or a better actor than an up coming star in a community college.
