If you really do the personal homework and find out what truly makes you afraid, and you stay in your imagination long enough to work yourself up into that state...and you do this over and over again until the feeling of being afraid is extremely familiar to you, then you can go to that place whenever you want....and it's effortless. That is why people like Meryl Streep, and the late Jack Lemmon, can hang out and be having casual conversations with the crew and once the director calls action, they can just "switch it on". It takes practice. |
