|  new here & in need of advice | |
hey everyone....I don't know exactly where to start but here goes.......
I want to get started on an acting career.....I've done local theater/drama groups when I was younger & fell in love with it.....I love everything about the craft & want to learn all that I can as well as turn it into a career....the only problem I have is....I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE HELL TO START....I'm in one of the greatest cities in the world (NYC) and yet I have no clue as to how to get my foot in the door....should I start w/ acting classes or a coach & try to network from there? or should I just try to find an agent who will want to give me a shot? I know so many people get ripped off each day by scam artists and I do NOT want to be one of those people.....I want to meet ligitamate people in the business who can help mentor me & guide me in the right direction....I've waited so long to pursue a dream & Im finally ready to go for it!!!!!
now that Im done with my little sob story  ....how have some of you gotten into the business?? if anyone here is from NY who can give a little insight that would be so much appreciated....i need all the help I can get!!!! |
