Hey Ryan.... welcome to the world of showbiz, we all know about the show part but as a new actor don't overlook the biz (business) part of showbiz. There is only one way to learn acting and that's by jumping in and doing it. Participate in as many community plays that come your way, attend acting workshops, network with other actors. Go to school on each actor that you meet. The best acting school I ever attended was a weekly 3 hour bus ride that cost me 65 cents. What I did while riding the bus was observe the people geting on and off as we rode down the line. I would write down on my acting pad how people walked, spoke, traits, mannerisms and so on. What that gave me was a collection of characters that I could mimic when needed. Granted this isn''t all that you need to become a good actor but it's a start. Best of luck.
